I never thought a money order was so unknown outside of North America. I've never used one, so I'm not entirely sure, but basically what a money order is is a certificate that says that the person who's name is on the money order can redeem an amount of money as stated on the order. The difference between this and a check is that a money order is paid in advance, not when the check is cashed. -- Robert
