Poor rays. I like the concept, so I fired up Photoshop
and remade the design to my aesthetic taste. Circular
selection tools and pre-made vector shapes are your
friend. =)

I'm not entirely sure whether it's better this way,

Why not just take the golden ratio and round to integer
pixel numbers?
