I should have pointed out that it is inappropriate to put
transliterations of Kidjeb glyphs in phonemic slashes, since
the <p- t- k- -t> glyphs are multivalued: e.g. <kat> can
stand for any of /kat xat gat kad xad gad/ (and <kut> also
for /kp)at/ etc. with early or sloppy writers, or where
space is scarce (the full spelling being <ku-at/ku-wat/ku-
pat>). /s/ is the only fricative to have it own set of
glyphs, so that that phoneme is *not* covered by <t>.
