Below is my email to Janko and his response (unedited) about his
requests for the numbers 1-10 in our conlangs. The address in his
response shows that he sent it to the list, but I thought it would have
generated responses by now... I just did a "review conlang" request to
the listserv, and it does not appear that he is subscribed. I probably
got his email because he CC'd it to me.
ME:
Several people on the CONLANG list are wondering what your purpose is
for requesting the numbers 1-10 in various conlangs. Perhaps it would be
wise to post a message stating your purpose, or if you are not a member
of the list, then to inform me about your purpose, so I can relay the
message to them.
JANKO:
James!
Thank you because you warm me, that several people on the CONLANG list
are wondering what my purpose is for requesting the numbers 1-10 in
various conlangs.
I start collect numbers from various languages and dialects in year
1984. This is 19 years ago.
At this moment I have a collection of numbers in 7025 languages and
dialects. 928 is conlangs (numbers 1-10 I have in 854 conlangs). This
year I managed to collect numbers from 1-10 in 183 conlangs.
My goal is to collect numbers from 1-10 in 1000 conlangs.
I would like collect yet 146 them. When I will get that, I will open my
net page. The address of that page will be sent to those people who
will be interested in.
If I would have my own computer with conection to the net.
I might already had my own page.
Everything I find in a Local Library.
I will try to make my own page in year 2004 at my friend.
THANK YOU ALL CREATORS CONLANGS WHICH YOU HELPED AT COLLECTING NUMBERS!
My e-mail is:
jankogorenc@hotmail.com
Janko Gorenc.
He appears to be collecting them like other people collect bottle caps
or stamps or baseball cards ;)
