I've been working with SIL PC-Kimmo and been able to make some interestin=
g
things and surely it could work for sound changes... the problem is defin=
ing the
rules but PCKimmo is distribuited with helping tools that avoid programin=
g those
finite state machine tables.

I've managed to make a script for PCKimmo which can convert any word writ=
en in
Spanish into phonetic transcription, managing stress paterns, consonant c=
hanges
of front vowels, "gu" paterns meaning /gu/, /Gu/, /gw/, /Gw/, /g/ or /G/,=
 etc.
