Welcome to the list! Your first message certainly didn't make it here to
me, so it's fortunate that I learned again.

As unfortunate mishap. Joual is nothing like standard French, and standard
French is not much like actual spoken French. The educational system is
apparently incapable of understanding that, though.

This bodes well for my upcoming graduation from linguistics ;-).
