Hello,

Hmm, I will also be affected I guess. I am to study a second language
from September, and the options they gave us are French (but not from
scratch), German and Italian. I don't know enough French to be on that
group (apart from my personal agenda), and much as I like German, I
chose Italian because I have an, ahem, mutual dislike (mildly put) with
the people on the German class. So I am going to have a lovely diploma,
with Swedish and Italian and not one of the 'major' European languages.
But on the other hand I may develop a taste for Italian, and perhaps for
Romance in general.

A most commendable struggle ;-)

Pl. of Quenya _lámatyáve_, lit. 'sound-taste', defined as 'individual
pleasure in the sounds and forms of words'
