I've pointed out many times how many stems in Kalini Sapak is simply the consonants ripped out from some real-world word for the same thing, with KLN "clan" and SPK "speak" leading the way. My other langs has primarily words drawn out of thin air, but some words are more or less obvious distortions of real-world languages' words. The most obvious example is perhaps Tairezazh _gron_ "time". I strongly suspect that no-one can guess what Telenzh _zepo^n_ [z@'po:n] "armed" is ultimately a distortion of. It does, however, actually retain two of the letters of the original word. Andreas
