The first characters of Unicode are exactly 8859-1. The repertoire of the 8859-2 through 8859-15 sets (8859-12 doesn't exist) are also present in Unicode, but not in individual blocks, since they overlap and a given character appears (in general) only once. -- John Cowan cowan@ccil.org I am a member of a civilization. --David Brin
