Ada, a high level computer programming language, is named after Ada,
Countess of Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron, assistant to mathematician &
computer pioneer Charles Babbage. She added much to Babbage's original work
(some say she did most of the critical work & that Babbage's fame rests on
her "toil.")
