Most universities will allow you to "test out" of certain courses as
well. That is, if you feel confident about your abilities in, say,
your college's math requirement, you can take a test and, if you pass,
get the credit for the course without sitting in the classroom. You'd
have to check, though, to know what restrictions they may place on
this activity.
I'm not sure, but it _may_ be possible to take an AP exam in a free-
standing testing center (like Sylvan Learning Center). If so, you
might consider doing this.
