Hear! Hear! (pun wasn't originally intended,
but what the heck! ;-) )
I totally agree! Back when I was in high school,
we were shown a filmed verion of the stage play
of Hamlet with Richard Burton. (that is, the play
was done in a theater and the camera was set up
there to film what was happening on the stage).
It's now almost 40 years later and I _still_ remember
some of the scenes!
We also learned, from texts, other of
S's plays and I don't even remember which plays
they were! Sorta says something!
