Okay, going thru my dictionary for "h" words, I discovered that my
simple statement "an before h with unstressed vowels" isn't entirely
correct, it's usually true, yet, I'd say "a horrendous", "a harpoon", "a
hyena", and I'm not sure about "a heroic" or "an heroic". But, all
other /h/-initial words with unstressed initial syllables take "an".
Very strange.
