Wow! I like best the sound of Vaiysi. I also like conlangs
with history attached, in the way you're going with descendant
tongues. One thing I'd like to suggest is _not_ using the
very same words for everything from one language to the next.
In 1500 years, an old word is bound to drop out, only to be
replaced by another. I'm sure that if you look at 1500 year
old Italian texts (that's what, Silver Age Latin?) you'll
notice a couple of minor differences. Now, it might just be real
lucky that within these two poems, all the words contained in
the Vaiysi version happened to have existed in Suimeni. It's
only an issue to be aware of. Though I do note that the names of
the languages are different!
