a haiku

I've done it!!! I've translated my first poem into Vaiysi and his mother
tounge Suime:ni. The two languages are both *very* unstable, expecially the
latter, and this is only a first attempt to write something in them.
Classical Vaiysi is 1200-1500 years later than Suime:ni. I'll send as soon
as possible a phonology and a grammar, but, unfortunately, today is the last
day of my Easter vacations, and tomorrow I'll be back to school :(((

Anyway, here they are:

VAIYSI
Let's begin with Vaiysi, which seems to be the better:

Iyvo Lyarie,
Ourhyene lisyeat et,
I miyre em tiycho.

Iy_vo Lya_ri_e =5
Our_hye_ne li_sye_at et =7
I miy_re+em tiy_cho =5

Interlinear:
Iyvo Lyarie,
1s.GEN maid
Our.hyene lis.yeat et,
AUG.beautiful flower.be2s 2s
I miyre em tiycho.
and sun 2s.DAT smile.3s

Pronounciation:
'i@vo l@'arie
our@'ene lis@'eat et
i m'i@re em t'i@tSo

My (dear) maid,
You are the most beautiful flower,
and the sun smiles at you.

SUIME:NI

I:va la:rea,
hurse:ne li:sso e:at,
i mi:re em ti:uxa.

I:_va la:_re_a, =5
hur_se:_ne li:s_so e:_at,
i mi:_re+em ti:u_xa.

Interlinear:
I:va la:rea,
1s.GEN maid
hur.se:ne li:sso e:at,
AUG.beautiful flower be.2s
i mi:re em ti:uxa.
and sun 2s.DAT smile.3s

Pronounciation:
i:va la:rea
hur'se:ne 'li:s:o e:at
i 'mi:re em 'ti:uxa

Notice that Vaiysi and Suime:ni both use an erg./abs. case system, but the
little example isn't enough to show it!
