It strikes me as more likely that it's an old form that has fallen into
disuse. That excuses everything. But then you need to figure out where it
_used to be_ used :-))
Kash also has an infinitive/gerund (-ale) that now only occurs in highly
formal speech or written work--
rinjurale leñ yale trafun rakop 'good singing is a difficult art(-form)'
malisam rinjurale 'I like singing' vs. malisam (ma)rinjura 'I like to sing'
