more like the occasion of eating. of course not every verb has equivalents such as "to eat", which is why ablaut often entails a bit of creative thinking, for example, if 'nek' is 'to eat' and 'lem' is 'to see', while nak means food [that which is SPECIFICALLY MADE TO BE eaten] then 'lam' basically meaning 'that which is specifically made to be seen' could mean 'visual art', including film and painting. this would require some memorization of course but I did not personally get ino conlanging because i dislike memorization. pacs precs Joe Mondello
