I don't think I've ever heard the phrase "go batshit", but I have heard
batshit used as an adjective meaning crazy.
This is a wonderful series of idioms that I'd never brought out into
consciousness. Why is chicken excrement cowardly, and bat excrement insane,
and what _is_ a dipshit anyway? This kind of lexical-meaning complex is
what, as an artlanger, I often despair of having the time or creativity to
invent.
