In a male, it used to mean "very muscular".
I remember a little guy who came to bat once, I was
in center and started moving in, he hit a screaming
line drive 4 feet higher than I could jump, it was horrible.
Later we were on the same team, and up-close he looked like
a fire hydrant, only much tougher. If you ever get to
see a picture of Hack Wilson, of the 1930 Chicago Cubs ...
Then there was Judy, my friend's big sister.
I remember some teenaged boys walking past muttering
"... that Judy is really *built* ... *stacked* ...",
and the like. She had strawberry blond hair too.
In my town, I think s.h. might have applied only to males.
