Well, yeah. That goes without saying. Who wants a whole bloody load of words all over the screen when the main character is beating holy you-know-what out of someone! Course, on the _other_hand_, most Merkin movies could be subbed simply by translating all the Naughty Words into the target language! Interspersed with a lot of "AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!" in between spates of gun fire, bombs, gang violence, etc.

I don't have much experience with subbed movies (all were Latin American movies), and while I didn't have trouble reading the English - it made wish all the more that I could understand the original better. Padraic.
