Yeah, but that will take quite a long time. That's how you define generally how
polluting is a material: by the time it takes to degrade completely (also by how
poisonous are the waste it rejects when degrading, but that's another matter).
And don't forget that with time, glass flows or crystallizes, so that will also
go with time (unless it has been broken before :) ). It gives also the absolute
life limit for CDs :) .
