When I did the examples for my Denden grammar and the corpus, I choose realaudio because the resulting files where a lot smaller. I think that was a mistake. Mp3 is so widespread that there are all kinds of tools to handle it with, while realaudio can only be handled with proprietary tools, and those are not so comfortable.
