In Colombia a first semester student is called _primíparo_, I guess
the word was derived from _primípara_ as used for a woman having her
first baby. _secundíparo_ is also common for second semester, so
_primíparos_ and _secundíparos_ are freshmen.
Then there is the word _primiparada_ which means anything that happens
to you when you are a freshman (at any year), either a jest or a
mistake. It is not uncommon to commit _primiparadas_ when you are
Senior... well we don't use this last word.
