I was in a cafe just around the corner from the big Galleries Lafayette in
Paris with my ex, chatting quite happily in a bastard mix of English and
Italian. Then, when I ordered I got the dirtiest look ever. Not only was I
speaking English and Italian, but I also had a faint Gallo accent! I didn't
leave a pourboire...
