Yes, that's exactly what it means in modern Thrjotran: 'to have' (now,
not expressing general possession, that would be pöstir) and b) what I
kept it for, because I thought this word would certainly stand some
irregularity. I even kept the subjunctive preterite (<
Lat. subjunctive pluperfect) that most verbs dropped.
