That's true, but when you really want to learn a language, you should
be prepared to invest time and as much money as required in it :P
Sounds like a good series. I would invest in it if I spoke french
and/or lived in France :)
Though the book I learnt Italian from (people always look at me funny
when I tell them I *learnt* it from a book), the "Wiley Self-Teaching
Guide" by E. Lebano, focused very highly on grammar, which I highly
enjoyed, and not much on culture, which could have improved the book
significantly...
