I was that way with my Vranian, as were about a dozen other people...but
then it degenerated into pure Serbian...if you don't know: Vranian was a
descendant of Old Church Slavic, fairly close to Serbian, and was the
official language of the Republic of Vrania (*here*!)...the official
langauge is still called Vranian, but it's Serbian with a few different
words here and there, like "tovar" for "teret" (freight, goods),
"zavod" or "tvornica" for "fabrika" (factory)...generally Slovene or
Croatian or Russian words to replace the loanwords in Serbian, so Serbian
"u ovom fabrici izgradje se avioni" is in Vranian "u ovom tvornici
izgradje se samoleti" (Croatian would have the Vranian sentence, but with
"zrakoplovi" instead of "samoleti"); also the new Vranian still has a
dual:
ja sam midva smo mi smo
ti si vidva ste vi ste
on je onidva su oni su
so not really active...anyway...
