Yup, it's true.
Av = alef-bet = 1+2 = 3
Eim = alef-mem = 1+40 = 41
Yeled = yud-lamed-dalet = 10+30+4 = 44
Pi was made by the son of my 7th grade science teacher, who has a cameo
in the movie as a bad guy if i remember correctly. I never got around to
seeing it.
