And the vowels.  I love the vowels in Cantonese.  They make the language
sound so rich and full and . . . substantial.  Mandarin by contrast sounds
like wind whistling through dry bamboo.  And Taiwanese?  Taiwanese sounds
like a room full of rubber balls.
