Ummmm...in my conlang there are ideograms for all personal pronouns,
numbers, personal titles and the rest is an alphabet, but family names are
mostly written with a set of pictograms (mostly based on monograms of the
family name) that people must remember to understand. In a way it's like the
Japanese name situation; sometimes the possible readings for something as
simple as a family name can get confusing
