Back from Texas; relay almost done

Howdy, folks!

I'm back from Texas, having served on an interesting panel
where I held forth on Utopias and uglossias. I stayed with
about a hundred other utopians in the Menger, as haunted as
Shady Hollow, so I'm told. No ghosts. Right across the
street, though, from the remains of the Alamo and all that
violence.

The river walk is something to see.

Then I rented a car and drove up to Austin where I met
with Tom Weir and Herman Miller and we had a grand old
time at Trudy's (too noisy) and The Spider House
(much quieter). I'm glad to have made two new friends!

Eighty degree weather... what a cold return to Rochester.

Lots of noisy grackles and crows, lots of fearless squirrels.
Lots of live oak and rolling hills. Austin is an awesome city.

In the meantime, Issytra, my Teonaht expert, is hard at work
at Wenetaic, and when she's done, the translation relay game
will have come full circle and we'll post it.
