That would be some kind of regionalism, I think. I am not so deeply into phonetics to understand what this H-thing means. But what I know for sure is that pronouncing /ui/ like [2] is not standard Dutch. I believe it is a South-Eastern thing. Jan ===== "You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair.
