- Hmm... searching through the web, i found: Newton's First Law is: "An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force." Alternately rendered as: "The behavior of all objects can be described by saying that objects tend to 'keep on doing what they're doing'." Assuming that Calvin's "own words" are some kind of conlang, i wonder how they could be analyzed to be saying one of the renderings of Newton's First Law. :-) I also wonder if the writer of Calvin and Hobbes would mind if i took some of Calvin's words for my own conlangs :-) -Stephen (Steg) "...and hard as the devil..."
