How technical is it? I'm asking on behalf of someone in the church
choir (that I'm also in) who wants to know more about vowel formants
and things like that, now I've told him all I know. He can read
English adequately but not extremely well, but convoluted physics
will not bother him much as he's a high-school physics teacher.
