Huh! I went to a posh grammar school and we had to *sing* the Lord's Prayer!
But I agree that some forms of English are best left alone, such as the King
James Version. And I thought it was an awful thing to abandon the Tridentine
Mass. Some poetry/prose should be left in the language it was intended to be
in. You only have to listen to the Ode to Joy sung in English (sticks finger
down throat)...
