This is what mostly happened at my school, and from what I heard others
talking about on the train on the way home, other schools as well. Nearly
every classroom at my school that had a TV on had it on. Mr Wakeham, who
normally kills people for reading the paper during class, didn't care about
the fact that I was (I woke up late this morning and didn't here about it
till literature (first period). It happenend at about 11.00 p.m. AEST).
Unsurprisingly, really, a number of the news articles in Australia had
content like `PM Rushed to Australian Embassy' (He's in the US right now)
and `Safe from the 73th Storey: Australian Survivor'. But, of course, the
majority were a lot of repition about the Act.
My condolences to those who have family members who have died, and I hope
everyone on this list is not dead.
And I wish that those responsible for this act get better soon. And that no
more lives are lost than necessary; that the justice that these will
experience, should they be court, not involve death.
Tristan
