I've used Rick Harrison's Universal Language Dictionary (not sure where that might be found at the moment on the web...) and the Lojban gismu list (http://www.animal.helsinki.fi/lojban/gismutot.html). The gismu list has a lot of useful synonyms and cross-references; you need to learn a little about how Lojban works before it makes much sense, but that's a useful thing to know in any case. The ULD also comes in handy, if you can find it, since its words are roughly organized into categories. Raw lists of words in no particular order are less useful, in my experience. But I've recently been dissatisfied with many of the "mass-produced" words in my languages, and I've been going back to making them one at a time, as I need them, or concentrating on relatively small groups of related words. -- languages of Azir------> ---<http://www.io.com/~hmiller/lang/index.html>--- hmiller (Herman Miller) "If all Printers were determin'd not to print any @io.com email password: thing till they were sure it would offend no body, \ "Subject: teamouse" / there would be very little printed." -Ben Franklin
