I assume that's the word "barbecue". What's the [/] mean? I assume also that the [&r] is the same vowel/consonant as in the word "Barry"/"bare" and different from the world "bar"; is it normal in America/your part of the world to pronounce it like that? (Or possibly you pronounce "bare" and "bar" the same?) (For me: [ba:b@kju\:] or [ba:bi].) -- Tristan.
