Unrelatedly,
people have a tendency to hear my name [mjuk] as <milk> (presumably via
[mj5=k] < [mi5k]*). Conversely I often heard a schoolmate's name <Ilko>
pronounced rather like [joko].
But now the song "Milk and Cereal" is stuck in my head.
*Muke!
* Because I am neurotic I'm using [5] which is X-SAMPA's dark l symbol
instead of [L], which everyone else is using.
