I think it ought to include the text, a brief outline of the
phonology and orthography, a relay-style grammar sketch,
and a lexicon of the words/morphemes that occur in
the text, and pointers for where to find more information
about the conlang.

Re: Carsten's inquiry -- you could write to Michael Ende
in care of his publishers, asking for permission to publish
a translation of one of his stories, but I wouldn't count
on getting permission.   In general I think we ought to
stick to original writing in conlangs, with maybe a few
pieces translated from public-domain sources.

Besides members of the CONLANG list and ZBB,
we could also ask other well-known conlangers if
they want to contribute -- Suzette Haden Elgin for
instance.

Re: Authorhouse, which Tony Harris mentioned -- from
what I've heard of them from other sources, using them
is probably not a good idea.   You don't have to go very
far in search engine results querying on their name
to find horror stories from people who've used them.
I'm glad Jim Hopkins' experience was atypically pleasant.
