I think it ought to include the text, a brief outline of the phonology and orthography, a relay-style grammar sketch, and a lexicon of the words/morphemes that occur in the text, and pointers for where to find more information about the conlang. Re: Carsten's inquiry -- you could write to Michael Ende in care of his publishers, asking for permission to publish a translation of one of his stories, but I wouldn't count on getting permission. In general I think we ought to stick to original writing in conlangs, with maybe a few pieces translated from public-domain sources. Besides members of the CONLANG list and ZBB, we could also ask other well-known conlangers if they want to contribute -- Suzette Haden Elgin for instance. Re: Authorhouse, which Tony Harris mentioned -- from what I've heard of them from other sources, using them is probably not a good idea. You don't have to go very far in search engine results querying on their name to find horror stories from people who've used them.
