The local legislatures of Jersey and Guernsey (which latter includes not
only the Isle of Guernsey, but Sark, Alderney, and Herm as well) are known
as the States. See http://www.gov.je and http://www.gov.gg respectively.

I should have said "the present Duke". I am told that the loyal toast
takes the form "Here's to the Duke, God bless her!"
