How true! Some weeks ago, while watching TV, I regularly heard one
particular word: "Schadenersatz". It sounded rather strange to my ears
and still does. I always feel this urge to put an 's' into it:
"Schadensersatz". In fact, I didn't really know that the version without
the 's' was correct at all.
