Imagine this:
Not only do we have our own in-jokes and special idioms, but even when
we are speaking regular English, noone can understand what we are
saying. L's and R's disappear, we talk very fast, and with strange
intonation. I remember once riding in the car with my best friend and my
brother, and my brother and I were talking, and finally my friend broke
in and asked, "Are you guys speaking English?"
