Because of my decision to change the setting of my game project to the
entire planet instead of just the Western Hemisphere. Plus the Techia
conculture was originally based on the Gypsies (or what they might be
like if they really came from Egypt as the popular name implies), and
Tech was originally going to be based on Semitic and Indo-European
(this was before I discovered Nostratic).
Does anybody have the list of roots according to Allan Bomhard's
reconstruction, by the way? The dictionary costs nearly $200 US on
amazon.com, but I'll prolly get it eventually.
