Yeah, I know. I thoroughly enjoyed _The Hobbit_ back in junior high and was all gung ho on reading the trilogy. Then I read the first volume. Oy! It's been almost twenty years since. Maybe with adult sensibilities...Spinach, liver and oat bran, and 1000+ pages. Four weeks left of summer -- do I haaaave tooooo??! Kou
