I dunno. For an American, I'm pretty boring: not only are both my mother and father both of Scottish ancestry, they're both even from the same Clan, the MacNaughtons, although on my grandmother's side there was a good bit of Scotch-Irish and English too. [A neat family fact I just found out a couple weeks ago: during the Civil War, my great-great-grandfather, Capt. Thomas D. Wier, was interned in a prisoner of war camp just a couple miles from where I'm now studying in Chicago.] ========================================================================= Thomas Wier Dept. of Linguistics "Nihil magis praestandum est quam ne pecorum ritu University of Chicago sequamur antecedentium gregem, pergentes non qua 1010 E. 59th Street eundum est, sed qua itur." -- Seneca Chicago, IL 60637
