Re: Naming conventions

After thinking about it, I believe I've solved my whole problem. The
founders of this galactic civilization are not from Earth, but are
humans. They are also very stuck up. Since one of them invented this
conlang/auxlang I think it would fit right in if they used a numbering
system for when species were discovered. Some exclusive organizations
give numbers to their members in the order they join up.
So:
I'll use the word 'Specie' followed by a number for the aliens,
'StarName' followed by a number for the star and a number for the planet
about the star on which the species lives.
Ex. 'Humans' would be Species-1 (did I mention they're stuck up?) Earth
would be 'Star354-Planet3'.
A little verbose, but this conlang isn't meant to be streamlined or
extremely efficient.
