I usually remember my way with both techniques, a bit of mapping and way marks. But I'm not able to tell you where's north and south and so on. My family is not able either. As Robert a.k.a. Trebor described it, I could find the way to any room in our house even blind, I can imagine pretty good the ways to the rooms without leaving my room. My local geography knowledge is bad either. Sometimes I mix up left and right either. But most of the time I get it right. My mother never knows where is left or right. Usually, I haven't got problems with maps and pointing at some bigger cities (Germany, Europe, World) either. Carsten
