Yes, in a Russian translation of Y Mabinogi they chose _xl_ for _ll_ and _xr_ for _rh_ (apart from _Loegria_ <- Lloegr). This results in a lot of hilarious (and ugly) transliterations, my favourite being _Xlev Xlav Djiffes_ for Llew Llaw Gyffes, _xlev_ being the regular Russian word for a pen (as in pigs)._Rhonabwy_ resulted in _Xronabvi_, which at first sight left me wondering what an _abvi_ is and how it is connected with time.

Russian has [p_jin"dZab], spelt _Pendzhab_ (the [i] is due to normal reduction). Pavel -- Pavel Iosad pavel_iosad@mail.ru Nid byd, byd heb wybodaeth --Welsh saying
