Group Conlang: theme

Mathias has pointed out that theme is not a case, which I
agree. So, are we going to use a special theme marker,
like Japanese _wa_?
I mean, the theme of a sentence is usually also the
agent, or the patient, or any other case-inflected word.
I don't see the need to mark a theme... Unless, of course,
we plan to mark it once when it first appears and then delete
it until it changes, as in Japanese.
Also, Mathias said before:
Hon wa yomeru (the book : (I) read it)
Why not
(Boku wa) hon o yomeru ?
(is that the correct form of the verb?)
My idea is: let's mark theme with a prefix (added to the
already-case-inflected word) or with a postposition,
and then delete it in the next sentences, just as in Japanese;
OR let's not mark it!
